Pray for the state of political anxiety in Uganda owing to lack of patriotic spirit, selfish ambitions and politically charged mindsets inciting communities into anarchy.

 

Pray for the Security organs Police and Army to be agents of peace and harmony in society

21st Dec 2017 6 Prayer of spiritual warfare against the influence of evil powers of occultism and heathenism which are secretly an illusion influencing most in our society. And for the Church to recognize her prophetic role, preach the Kingdom of God in Christ for the transformation of lives unto salvation.

 

Pray against all forms of Violence and gender injustices – For prayer dialogue for peace in the homes to peace in the world and make education safe for all.

22nd Dec. 2017 7 Pray for the Youth generation in Uganda and the negative influences of all kinds targeting the young generation into delinquent behaviors and for the youth to learn and develop purpose driven lives and behavior. Pray, also, for them to guard themselves and avoid getting involved in drugs, alcohol, and sexual immorality. 2 Timothy 2: 14 – 26

24th Dec. 2017 9 Pray against injustice and suppression of the disadvantaged in society, the poor, injustice in courts of law, gender violence, corruption, and land grabbing from those economically and intellectually disadvantaged in our society.

 

Pray for the health and judiciary to have hearts of service for the good of our society.

Prayer Points 

  1. Pray for us as a Church to understand our calling by God through Christ and our role in society to be advocates of peace, agents of reconciliation without showing partiality. Pray also for us as a Church to uphold our prophetic role to challenge injustice and violence of all kinds, which are against the will of God and humanity and societal well-being.
  1. Pray that the Church will stand and uphold her faith and Biblical mandate and that we will not conform to the standards of this world, especially in approaching political issues. (Romans 12:2)
  1. This year has been the Year of the Family, and we shall continue the Year of the Family in 2018. I, therefore, call upon each of you to pray for families, marriages, and children. That they would live a life of peace, unity and love through good family governance, parenting, and harmonious living relationships anchored in biblical values.
  1. Pray that our children and youth will be brought up in godly behaviors and learn to live with respect for one another regardless of our differences. Pray, also, for them to guard themselves and avoid getting involved in drugs, alcohol, and sexual immorality.
  1. Pray against the current state of political anxiety so often caused by a lack of patriotic spirit, selfish ambitions and politically charged mindsets that incite communities into anarchy, undiplomatic approaches to resolving differences, and violent behaviors. Pray for good neighborliness, faithful stewardship of political influence at all levels, and respect of each other’s political convictions.
  1. Pray for the church to uphold its prophetic role in our society to speak against all acts of injustice, behaviors of anarchy, and the suppression of the innocent and voiceless humanity. At the same time, pray for God’s direct intervention through spiritual warfare against the influence of the evil powers of occultism and heathenism which are secretly an illusion influencing many in our society.
  1. Pray for our youth, who form the majority of our national population. They are easily manipulated and incited by all sorts of confusion into deviant activities and violence in our society.
  1. Pray for the Government of Uganda, the President, Cabinet ministers, Members of Parliament and the Judiciary, and all members of opposition groups in our country, that God will bestow upon them wisdom, discernment and guidance for the harmonious governance of our nation and harmonious ways to peace and stability.
  1. Pray against injustice and suppression of the disadvantaged in society, the poor, injustice in courts of law, gender violence, corruption, and land grabbing from those economically and intellectually disadvantaged in our society.
