The 10-year Master Strategic Plan, entitled Vision 2025, was officially launched on 20th April 2017 by Archbishop Stanley Ntagali at Hotel Africana. Proverbs 29.18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.”  The Prime Minister represented the President as the Guest of Honour and applauded the Church of Uganda for its forward-thinking and comprehensive vision and plan. Vision 2025 envisions the Church of Uganda as a “Faster Growing, Sustainable, Christ-centred Church” and is focused on four broad areas: Mission, socio-economic empowerment, community engagement, and institutional development. The plan is aimed at streamlining and strengthening the Church Ministry in all the key areas for effective service delivery throughout the country. Three very specific Provincial objectives have been set to be pursued for the next 10 years: i) win souls for Christ; ii) nurture and equip Christians to maturity; and iii) promote holistic transformation among communities. In short, to “mobilize the church for works of service” (Ephesians 4.12). Click here to read the Archbishop’s full statement at the launch.
